Cocherl Family Marks 10th Year of Providing Graduates Life-Changing Scholarships

Sixteen Blue Valley School District students received the opportunity of a lifetime today thanks to the Cocherl family of Leawood. Ten years ago, the family set up a scholarship fund to help Blue Valley students continue their education after leaving high school. To date, the family has funded more than $1 million in Cocherl Family Foundation Scholarship Awards to 138 students who have attended 33 different post-secondary schools or programs. Scholarships can be used for tuition, books and lab fees.
