Fresh Ingredients Nourish the Body

t.Loft is a growing community of health cafes focusing on fresh ingredients with gluten-free eats and drinks designed to nourish and power the body. t.Loft believes that food is fuel and living clean can be balanced with a healthy dose of fun and flavor.

Owners Jill and Brandon Minton founded t.Loft in 2013 after Jill and other family members were diagnosed with celiac disease, an autoimmune disease in which the body attacks itself when exposed to gluten, which is found in wheat, barley, rye and malt. Jill was an IT consultant with two young children. When she felt fatigued, she assumed it was just her busy lifestyle, but as her health deteriorated, she knew something was wrong. After several doctor visits and a diagnosis, she was determined to not let celiac disease limit her from enjoying food and life.

Jill decided to take action, which started with tea. Tea has been around for centuries—it’s packed with antioxidants and known for its medicinal and healing purposes. Even before the diagnosis, tea had always been Jill’s go-to, so it only seemed right to start her wellness journey with tea, naming the company after the powerful beverage. She started creating her own blends, spending weekends selling drinks and eats at local farmers markets and growing the business into what it is today: a place that feels like home with delicious healthy options.

Scramble bowls are a quick, healthy and convenient breakfast option. Their satisfying buffalo scramble bowl is made with chicken, sweet potatoes, red peppers, eggs and buffalo sauce.

Immunitea is the perfect afternoon energy boost. It stands out among their juices and is made with pineapple, apple, cucumber, lemon and green tea.  

For lunch or dinner, order a meal bowl made with fresh veggies, protein and flavorful ingredients sautéed and made fresh to order, like their primal bowl that’s made with chicken, broccoli, mushrooms, onions, red peppers, carrots, cashews, garlic and spicy teriyaki. 

t.Loft is most known for their protein balls.

“We offer them in a variety of flavors and introduce fun seasonal flavors as well,” Jill says. “They make a great snack or finish off any meal.”

Their classic peanut butter protein ball is made with all-natural peanut butter, gluten-free oats, honey, maple syrup, nuts and flaxseed, which can be plain or topped with a little dot of chocolate. 

A trip to t.Loft would not be complete without tea. Choose between white, green, black, wellness and matcha.  

If you’re looking to change your eating habits, Jill says it’s not just about taking foods away.

“Take it one step at a time. Focus on incorporating and less on eliminating. Read labels and pall-naturalural foods and products over everything,” she says. “General rule: the more fresh produce, the better! Every body is unique and different diets work differently for each person. Figure out what works for you and what makes you feel the best.”
