James Beard Award- Winning Chefs Teamed for a Tasty October Fundraiser in KC
This past October, two James Beard Award-winning chefs helped to raise funds for the Child Protection Center (CPC) through a delicious partnership.
Pizzeria Locale owner Lachlan Mackinnon Patterson and his good friend, Colby Garrelts, owner of Rye and Bluestem, married their distinctly different restaurants and culinary talents to benefit the CPC and the taste buds of Pizzeria Locale patrons. Mackinnon Patterson invited Garrelts to create a specialty barbecue chicken pizza using his new Rye barbecue sauce and the Pizzeria Locale four-ingredient crust. The Rye barbecue chicken pizza was available during the entire month of October at all Pizzeria Locale locations.
