K.C. Beard Balms 7

Behind the Beard

Quality, craftsmanship and originality are the guiding principles at K.C. Beard Balms. These beard balms are all natural, all-in-one, handcrafted, individually batched and made with love in Kansas City. Corey Quinonez, owner and founder and his partner, Jennifer Karns, are the duo behind the brand.

“K.C. Beard Balms began because I initially wanted a quality product for myself, something that I would enjoy,” Quinonez says. “There just wasn’t a beard product on the market that did everything I was looking for. I wanted to create an all-in-one product that would moisturize, condition, nourish, rejuvenate, soften, control and add shine to my beard.”

A lot of hard work, passion and many beard balms later, K.C. Beard Balms was born.

These specially formulated beard balms are made with over 11 ingredients including their eight oil blend, shea and kokum butters and beeswax from a local apiary. They offer 12 scents to choose from for a customizable shopping experience based on your preference. They are designed for any length facial hair including five o’clock shadow, light to heavy scruff, lengthy beards and beyond for the only balm your beard will ever need.

“Believe in your Beard” is the motto at K.C. Beard Balms. Believing in your beard means believing in yourself and having the confidence and courage to follow your own path.

You can find K.C. Beard Balms in retailers throughout the Kansas City area and in other markets. Collaborations have been a unique and fun way to bring customers a product they haven’t seen before. Their Hops Infused and Dark Truth Stout Beard balms are available exclusively at Boulevard Brewing Company’s online store as well as the Boulevard Brewing Tours & Recreation Center. Their Tobacco Infused beard balm at Diebel’s Sportsmens Gallery features Diebel’s popular Huntington Blend tobacco and is only available in-store. For a complete list of stockists, visit www.KCBeardBalms.com.

One of their top priorities at K.C. Beard Balms is to be a community partner that organizations can rely on.

“We love Kansas City and are
so proud to
represent the name in our brand. Giving back to a city that has given
so much to us was a must.”

Last November they started their first No Shave November “Believe in your Beard” campaign, benefitting Children’s Mercy Hospital. They collaborated with Charlie Hustle clothing company on a No Shave T-shirt which gave 25 percent of the proceeds from each shirt sold to cancer research, prevention and education at Children’s Mercy. Throughout the year they also work with many local causes to help raise funds and awareness by donating gift baskets, volunteering and more.
