Leawood Lights up the Sky!

Photos courtesy of Marica Putman, Leawood Parks & Recreation. The hot weather didn’t deter crowds from filling Leawood City Park for the 2012 fireworks display. The celebration started off with inflatables, food vendors, roving entertainment and face painters. A number of games and rides were also available, including Escape Double Jeopardy, Surf and Slide and Trackless Train. The culmination of the evening was a dazzling display of fireworks. Several thousand people packed the park for the event, which was sponsored by Leawood Parks & Recreation, 105.1 Jack and Pepsi.
