Father’s Day Fishing Derby

Blue Valley Recreation recently held its annual Father’s Day Fishing Derby at Heritage Park. Several dozen children accompanied dad to try for the catch of the day. Even some moms joined in. Prizes were awarded in multiple categories, including the prize for the biggest fish of the event, which went to 11-year-old Matt McCabe of Stilwell. McCabe was awarded a new fishing rod for his 15-inch Bass.
